Producer, songwriter and alternative R&B music artist James Worthy first made noise back in 2019 with his critically acclaimed debut EP ‘Blu Leisure’ which also featured Tony Terry, Sonna, Kalenna and Ecstacy. Now, James has made his humble return with his all new project and second EP entitled, ‘Kaleidoscopes.’
Influenced by artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Kanye West, The Weeknd and Frank Ocean – the Queens native first found his love for music through production at age 15, which evolved throughout the years – later adding singing and songwriting to the resume. Since first peaking at #10 on the Billboard Hot Singles Chart back in 2017 for his single ‘Wine For Me,’ and later dropping his first EP in 2019, James Worthy returns to the scene and shows that he’s ready to take on the new decade.
‘Kaleidoscopes’ is a great ode to the classic R&B and Hip-Hop sound, with songs like ‘Gone Get It’ reminding us why we love R&B and songs like ‘Bae Cation’ giving us that heavy Hip-Hop vibe. The 7-track EP also includes features from Ray Lavender, Ruff Endz, Drag-On, Truth Hurst and Jillisa Lynn on his bonus track ‘This Wave Remix.’
James Worthy also took to Instagram Live to announce that he will also be working with Canadian recording artist Kiki Rowe on a new collaborative track – so be on the lookout for upcoming releases from James x Kiki headed your way.
