H.E.R Releases Fire EP ‘I Used To Know Her: The Prelude’
H.E.R. (Having Everything Revealed) just released my new favorite EP of 2018 ‘I Used To Know Her: The Prelude‘. The singer from California absolutely flames this EP! Not only does she flex her amazing vocals in this EP but her lyrics and flow when she spits is so slick! This is the standard music needs to be held to, the only issue I can find with this EP is I need more than 6 songs! With that being said, the production is very well done and carries a ton of harmony.
The transitions between singing, rapping and poetry is angelic and so different. H.E.R. has a very authentic sound, which is displayed clearly in this EP. She plays well with others because this project hosts 2 features in DJ Scratch & Bryson Tiller who were the perfect compliments to H.E.R.
All the tracks on this EP are fire, but my top 3 would be:
- Could’ve Been
- Lost Souls
- Against Me
