International DJ, Director of A&R at Warner Music Canada, JUNO-nominated artist and producer – Ajay “DJ Charlie B” Saxena has announced the release of his first children’s book titled, Ajay’s Dreams.
DJ Charlie B’s new book follows the story of a young boy, Ajay – on a quest to overcome the invisible clouds of self-doubt that often holds kids back. Through a series of engaging encounters and self-reflection, Ajay embarks on a journey of self-discovery as he grapples with self-confidence and uncertainty. Ajay’s Dreams encourages kids to embrace their true selves and celebrate their individuality.
Before touring all across the globe and becoming one of Canada’s most renowned DJs – Charlie B was an Early Childhood Educator in Toronto’s York Region. He brings both artistic and educational expertise as he merges his previous teaching background with a deep understanding of the great power and influences of music in his new book. “Creating a children’s book has always been a dream of mine, so I’m humbled that it’s finally become a reality,” explains Charlie B in a statement. “I remember the feeling of fulfillment knowing that I did my best to create a positive intellectual impact on the children I once taught as an educator. I specialized in kindergarten education, and my priority was to make sure I offered them memorable learning experiences, whether it was helping them learn how to write or guiding them on their journey to learn how to read. Witnessing their progress over time meant the world to me. It feels good blending my artistic and educational experiences!”
Ajay’s Dreams is co-authored by longtime educator Rhodora Meliton-Vanderpool who also co-authored the book Stick To Your Vision: Young Maestro Goes To School with rap icon Maestro Fresh Wes and is illustrated by James Bada whose work has been featured on clients including Def Jam Recordings, Billboard, Boi-1da, Jhené Aiko, Kehlani, and many more.
