Atlanta-based artist 6LACK makes his return since the drop of his sophomore album, “East Atlanta Love Letter,” with a new project titled, “6pc Hot EP.”

The EP was released in late June and the announcement of its release came with the promotion of 6LACK’s own “600° Hot Sauce,” accompanying the theme of the 6-track EP – with the cover art showing the parking lot of a 6LACK-inspired restaurant.

Starting off the EP – “ATL Freestyle” is a guitar assisted introduction to the long awaited project. “Long Nights” reels you in with faded saxophone and overall relaxed feel with lyrics like “hoping for a good time, hoping for a long night.” The third track on the EP – “Float” which was the leading single of the project – keeps us entranced while speaking on trying to stay afloat, with lyrics like “I’ve been in my feelings, need a drink – singing my pains while listening to T-Pain.”

We’re followed with the next track, “Know My Rights” featuring Lil Baby, which also came with a music video – which was a fan favourite. “Elephant In The Room” offers a nostalgic state of mind paired with 6LACK’s classic sound. Concluding the EP, “Outside” – a sincere track describing the wait to come out of quarantine and see the ones we love for a heartwarming close.

The LVRN artist definitely shows out for this project, adding another classic to his catalog. ‘6pc Hot EP’ earns itself a 4.5/5.
