‘For The Throne’ (Music Inspired by GOT)

HBO Releases Newest Album Comprised Of Many Platinum Selling Artists ‘For The Throne’

We are in the final stretch of Game of Thrones, and as our hearts race along to the series finale, HBO continues to impress with their creativity on their new album ‘For The Throne’. Tackling on the music scene, they collected 14 tracks from different heavy hitting artists with music inspired by the series. They debuted their first sound with the track ‘Power is Power’ by SZAThe Weeknd & Travis Scott. This project is home to 17 other artists, including Maren Morris, The Lumineers, Ellie Goulding, X Ambassadors, Jacob Banks, A$AP RockyJoey Bada$$, The NationalJames ArthurRosaliaA.CHAL, Lil Peep, Ty Dolla $ign, Lennon StellaChloe X HalleMumford & Sons & Matt Bellamy.

Comprised of many genres, this project has something for everyone, with different melodies and vibes it’s easy to see the influence that the series holds on these tracks. Some of the prime examples are the tracks like ‘Too Many Gods’ by A$AP Rocky & Joey  Bada$$, ‘Kingdom One’ by Maren Morris & ‘From The Grave’ by James Arthur. ‘Kingdom One’ offers one of the most bone chilling sounds with a variety of haunting vocal ranges. ‘Wolf At Your Door’ by Chloe X Halle, clearly displays the spirit and the rise of house Stark. The song starts with a medieval-influenced choir, before the song pops off into life by the duo.

Those are some of my favorite tracks that I went over, however this project has something for everyone to listen to. It’s actually a great playlist for marathon nights, or even for your drives, the wide variety of genres opens up your palette to new and exciting tastes in sound.
