‘Monica’ by Flatbush ZOMBiES Ft. Tech N9ne

Flatbush ZOMBiES & Tech N9ne Put The Game On Alert With New Single ‘Monica’

Brooklyn stand proud, as the Flatbush ZOMBiES send a heater through the air waves, elevating above everybody else. Adding the legendary Tech N9ne, the trio released their latest single ‘Monica’, produced by Erick Arc Elliot.

Before the song breakdown I must go in as a fan and say THIS TUNE HAS ME GEEKED!!!!

This is not the first time we’ve seen the ZOMBiES include a legend in their track, but it definitely cements how timeless their music is and how limitless their creativity is.

With Erick going in on with a beat that has a nice melody and drums that slap, he takes the lead and starts off the song. Lyrically raw, he reminds us how they slept on him as an artist, and displays how wrong labels can be considering they snubbed his genius before their global takeover.

Juice goes in second with a royal flow, and prestigious with lyrics he finds a great home in this beat. Mentioning how euphoric he feel, paying homage to Flatbush Brooklyn & he also reminds the doubters how they blew up through hard work.

Meech is the last ZOMBiE to go in on this tune, he brings that gut busting flow we all know and love. Reminding us how they stood the test of time, their hustle that started this movement and how much growth they’ve has though this journey. Also shows us they are still hungry for more, and who ever sleeps on these 3 is in for a rude awakening.

Tech N9ne did all the choruses of this track but he also jumps in on the last verse. He highlights his experience through lyrics, he laso mentions how he leads through the tranches by example as a chief instead of relaxing as king and losing respect. Rising in this track Tech N9ne really shakes off all the ashes and illuminates this song.

Flatbush ZOMBiES are clearly my favorite artists and have had the best album on the decade, in 3001: A Laced Odyssey. Every time someone sleeps on the ZOMBiES, ten more people grow the population of Zombie Gang. Meechy mentioned that they are on the way to album number 3, coming off their Escape From New York album with the rest of Beastcoast I am absolutely excited and anxious for more from the ZOMBiES.
