‘Residuals’ by CAPÉ + Video

Ottawa Based Artist Capé Releases His Latest Single ‘Residuals’

In 2019 we got to see Capé elevate to a whole new level with his project ‘Genesis’. Ottawa has been boomin’ with talented artists and has been establishing it’s own style of Hip-Hop music. With artists like City Fidelia, Apollo Rae, Gutta King Chris, the sound of the city can’t be ignored.

Capé is also among the elite, not only representing the city, but also representing Dreamland Studios. From his study sessions to his ‘Dreamland sessions’, the young Egyptian/Canadian artist has always shown us a dynamic and versatile flow. With his new track ‘Residuals’, Capé managed to catch us off guard yet again.

The track takes on a more melodic approach that, pokes the feels opposed to his uppercut bars that aim for your dome. This song also included visuals directed by 3FIFTYCO & Co-directed by TheSoulfulPoet. The video matches the songs cold essence and also captures the haunting feeling of a one sided heart break.

It was spring of 2019 where I included Capé in my piece on artists to look out for, since then he has been named a Top 10  Ottawa rapper in Shifter and a Top 50 rapper of 2019 according to CapCity Hip-Hop. Here are the words of Capé himself describing this project!

“This song has helped me outgrow a lot personally and I have complete belief that it can help so many other people out there. This song is a product of half a year worth of work behind the scenes with the team and I couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out.” – Capé
