Toronto-based Nigerian artist Teebee has released his new sophomore album ‘In a Loop.’
The 13-track project includes features by fellow F.L.I.P (For Life In Paradise) collaborators Kaylia, KQ Beatz, Jdotds, and Gyebi. Seamlessly fusing Afrobeats, Reggae, Dancehall and R&B – Teebee dives into his experimental and mature side with this new album and gets vulnerable and reflective on tracks like ‘What About Me?’ and ‘Another Round.’ Elsewhere on the project, Teebee gives us chill-party anthems with tracks like ‘Good Time’ and ‘Hold On.’
Teebee shares that the album had encapsulated a moment in time for when he felt that his words were in a constant loop. “I saw myself living the same day over and over again and I just needed to break away from that cycle,” he shared in a recent statement on his new album. “Music was my escape in that moment and I knew I had to document all I was feeling in that period into a body of work.”
With this latest release, Teebee shows that he’s a serious rising Afro Fusion artist in the current landscape of up and coming talent from Africa – with artists such as Tyla, Rema and Ayra Starr, who have all recently gained a global following within the last couple of years.
