Captain of the globally renowned K-Pop group ATEEZ and widely celebrated for his distinct and keen fashion sense, HONGJOONG passionately unveils his deep love for fashion through his own first fashion collection, Petit Coussin. This unique collection was inspired by HONGJOONG’s treasured memories shared with his mother and moments from his childhood.
The collection is named after his mother’s children’s clothing shop, Petit Coussin, which translates to “little cushion” and was a beloved part of his childhood. “Petit Coussin is my step into fashion,” HONGJOONG shared on his new collection. “It’s about the tension between youth and growth, and chaos and calm. I hope you will enjoy it.”
On this day, his 27th birthday, November 7th, he released the fashion film divided into four chapters, which will unfold over a 24-hour period. Notably, the event marks the first time an idol has hosted an exclusive fashion show solely dedicated to presenting an entire collection, featuring 24 meticulously designed and personally crafted looks by HONGJOONG himself. The show’s set displays a dreamlike playground, with a roundabout, slide and small floating cushions in the air, a nod to the collection’s name.
HONGJOONG draws inspiration from his cherished warm and nostalgic memories, infusing each piece with a sense of comfort and sentimentality. By reinterpreting these precious moments from his past, the Petit Coussin collection captures the innocence, freedom and boundless spirit of youth, making this release a heartfelt tribute to his early years.
