Toronto’s Newest Black Music Festival, AFROWAVETO – Announces Lineup For Virtual Winter Concert Series

Kicking off the new year, Toronto’s newest Black music festival, AFROWAVETO – has just announced its highly anticipated virtual winter concert series lineup. The three-part concert series will headline 24 rising talents from the Toronto area and each part will carry its very own theme – Celestial, Supernatural and Invincible.

Founded by Jamaican-Canadian music artist Lexxicon in 2019, AFROWAVETO’s mission has always been to “provide growth opportunities for Black multi-genre musicians working within the Toronto music industry through intentional music programming, the creation of safe spaces, and through community and cultural connections.”

The first virtual concert “the Celestial showcase” will be held on January 27th via stream on AFROWAVETO’s official YouTube page. Headliners for the first showcase will include: TRP.P, Tafari Anthony, IAMREBELWILL, Markus Aurelyus, Cerena, Charmie, Renee, Unlisted Negros.

The second concert “the Supernatural showcase” will be held on February 24th and will be featuring Chelsea Stewart, Omega Mighty, Benita, Dynesti, Alicia Cinnamon, Imah, Fridaee, Chizzy Bashment. The final concert of the 3-part series “the Invincible showcase” will be held on March 24th and will feature Temi, EverythingOShauN, Nathan Baya, Don Richie, Gabyboy, Jbwai, Bugatti Bonsu and AFROWAVETO founder Lexxicon.
