ARMY – the wait is finally over! Global pop star Jung Kook of the Grammy Award-nominated K-Pop group BTS has finally shared his highly anticipated debut solo album, “Golden.”
Known as the Golden Maknae (‘golden youngest’ in Korean) – Jung Kook carried this summer with the massive success of his single ‘Seven’ featuring rapper Latto which became an instant hit as it landed at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Global 200.
The K-Pop star kept the momentum high with his second single release ‘3D’ with Jack Harlow and even surprised ARMY with the news of his latest collaboration with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee, “Too Much.” Just last month, ‘Seven’ earned the title of 2023’s most streamed collaboration on Spotify and fastest song to reach 1 billion streams in Spotify history.
According to the Golden press release, the album takes its motif from the “golden” moments of Jung Kook’s career as a solo artist. Alongside the release of his album comes the music video for Golden’s main track ‘Standing Next To You.’ The 11-track album includes features with Latto, Jack Harlow, DJ Snake and Major Lazer. Golden also includes production credits from Cirkut, BloodPop, Diplo, Banx & Ranx, Allen Ritter and more as well as writing credits from Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran.
